Yorkshire go into today with a 15 point lead over Middlesex, so ten points would confirm their promotion after two seasons in Division Two. Middlesex need to win and hope Yorkshire lose, or draw with maximum points and hope Yorkshire have collected just one point.

“It's ironic that as summer sport draws to a close the weather decides it'd be a good idea to ruin everyone's march. But if it means Yorkshire get promoted we'll happily accept it…”

Promotion/Relegation Equation

Yorkshire They go into today with a 15-point lead over Middlesex, so 10 points would guarantee promotion after two seasons in Division 2. Middlesex must either win and hope Yorkshire lose, or draw for maximum points and Yorkshire only get one point.

After a miserable finish in Division One, Lancashire are currently relegation candidates, 15 points behind third-bottom Notts and 20 points behind fourth-bottom Warwickshire. Notts need 10 points to avoid relegation, while Warwickshire need five. Lancashire will need to maximize their bonus point haul and hope for the best with a win.

Hello!Apologies for the late start as we go into the final game of the season in our nightgowns. The weather is perfect for the season and a champion has been decided. But it is yet to be decided who will progress with Kent to Division Two and who will join the big boys with Sussex. The game is due to start in eight minutes, will the weather be mild?
