Novak Djokovic booed after retiring from Australian Open semifinal match with injury

Melbourne and Australian crowds were not kind to Novak Djokovic early in the morning.

In his quest to extend his record in the 25th Grand Slam, Djokovic torn his muscles with his left foot, withdrew from the open semi -finals in Australia and played one set.

With the withdrawal, Alexander Zverev was sent to the finals with Janic Sinner on Sunday, which disappointed the crowd.

After recognizing the match with Zverev, he won the set, and he booed him when he walked toward the locker room.

Djokovic stopped, turned around and raised two thumbs.

Zverev is disappointed with the crowd.

“Don't boo the player when he gets injured and go out. Everyone knows that he wants to pay the ticket and see a great 5 sets of games. Novak Jjokovic has been all about his life, all of his life, all of his life. In an interview on the court, he said.

“He won this tournament with the tears of the abdomen. He won this tournament with the tears of hamstring. Please respect.

American tennisstar Ben Shelton puts an open TV interviewer in the player over the players.

John McKenro said, “They probably can't boo him. Please! He won 10 times for God.

“In other words, there was something obviously something. The man is a butler. In other words, he and Rafa [Nadal] I dug deeper than the two players I saw. I judged that he couldn't continue after he did it here, so I thought he was honestly stupid to do it. It was as melancholy as watching the end of the game. “

Djokovic was injured in a five -set classic with Carlos Alcalaz in the quarterfinals, but he said the pain was “getting worse.”

“At the end of the first set, I have just begun to feel pain, and at this time it was too much for me to handle it.

“I knew that even if I won the first set, it would be a major difficult battle for me.”

He torn Menniscasces with his right knee during the match and withdrew from last year's French Open before the quarterfinals.

Djokovic received surgery a few days later, immediately reached the finals in the next major, Wimbledon, and later won the Serbian gold medal at the Parisian Pillionic Games.
