The 30-second TV ad, which aired on cable networks from Oct. 1 until the election, urged voters to “vote as if your life depended on it,” and is aimed at Brown's conservative opponents. , Bernie Moreno, as a strong supporter of the Second Amendment.
The ad is part of a larger media blitz that includes digital advertising, text messages, direct mail and door-to-door outreach. It also accused “moderate-crime politicians” like Mr. Brown of not defending the rights of gun owners and of “pushing anti-gun judges onto the court.”

“This November, gun owners must act to protect their rights,” NRA-PVF Chairman Randy Kozucci said in a statement. ”Moderate-on-crime politicians like Sherrod Brown have failed to protect gun owners and their right to protect themselves, even as they make everyday life more dangerous for American society. ”
Moreno and Brown are in a close race for the key Senate seat, with most polls showing the race between them within the margin of error.
Brown also enjoys a progressive reputation among some critics.
