Private equity executives used their New York City apartment as a torture room where they used rape, punches, shackles and cow products in a series of de-dropping acts involving six women, Manhattan prosecutors said Thursday.
Ryan Henhill, 43, pleaded not guilty to 116 count indictment, accusing him of predatory sexual assault and other crimes dating back to October last year. He is facing life in prison.
To conceal his crime, Henhill, who is also a lawyer, threatened to arrest or kill a woman, falsely claiming she had connections with vast resources of police and organized crime, prosecutors said.

“The details in this case go beyond getting in the way. A sustained and calculated campaign of violence and atrocities targeting vulnerable women. This kind of predatory abuse does not exist in our city, and is filled with the full power of the law.”
Hemphill has met many victims on dating websites such as Seeking.com (previously wanted arrangements), Sugardaddy and Sugardaddymeet, Fetlife, and Craigslist.
There are multiple surveillance cameras at the Hemp Hill apartment, and investigators have collected images showing dozens of other women, if not hundreds, of whom, were blindfolded naked.
Investigators also discovered hundreds of bullets and large-capacity magazines, and large quantities of drugs, including heroin, cocaine, amphetamines and fentanyl, prosecutors said.

When Henhill came to know women, he is said to have persuaded them to reveal their past sexual trauma.
He said he forced or fooled them into taking a variety of unconscious or significantly impaired drugs. Additionally, he also repeatedly slapped and punched them, tied them up with handcuffs and other restraints.
In one incident, one of the victims was left tied to Henhill’s bed and asked her to let her go.
Henhill also used shock collars that were forced to be worn by several women around his neck, including cattle products, livestock instruments, and while he was raped. He is also said to have psychologically tortured them by threatening them with guns and knives, urinating them, and orally humiliating them and making them mean.

Some victims are allegedly forced to record a video that stated they agreed to be raped and tortured. Hemphill is said to have been convinced that if they reported to him they would not believe it.
Schazer ordered Henhill to be jailed after prosecutors cited his wealth connections, including charity and family real estate history, raising concerns that he could flee the country.
Hemp Hill’s alleged actions “indicate the level of willingness to go to protect himself from facing these charges,” the judge said.
