A maniac slashed a man and a woman separately at Grand Central's 42nd Street Station on Christmas Eve, police and law enforcement officials said.
According to police and officials, two people got into an argument on the steps of the southbound exit of Midtown Station around 10:15 p.m., and the assailant stabbed the 42-year-old man in the left wrist with a knife.
Officials said the suspect ran up the stairs and got into an argument with a 26-year-old woman before slashing her in the neck near the ticket gate.
Both victims were taken to Bellevue Hospital in stable condition.
After the second slash, the suspect fled on an escalator, but witnesses drew the attention of officers, who arrested him and recovered the knife, officials said.
The New York City Police Department announced that they have a suspect in their custody.
No charges have been filed yet.
Officials say the suspect has been arrested three times for mischief, fare assault and assault on a police officer.
