Adams was in Florida on Thursday night ahead of a meeting days before Trump's inauguration.

The mayor denied any wrongdoing.

Some of Adams' associates, including his defense team, believe Trump's presidency could benefit his case, either through a pardon or Trump's election to the Southern District of New York. There are some too.

Meanwhile, President Trump left the door open for a pardon, saying he believed Adams was unfairly targeted.

The meeting took place the day before Trump's inauguration, and rumors are swirling of a superseding indictment in the Adams case.
