NYC migrants allegedly raped woman at knifepoint in Coney Island

A woman was raped at knifepoint in Coney Island after two violent immigrant suspects beat up her boyfriend who tried to stop the attack, police said.

Police said the horrific attack happened around 9pm on Sunday outside a hotel housing asylum seekers on Surf Avenue and 16th Street.

According to sources, the suspect, David Davon Bonilla, a 24-year-old Nicaraguan immigrant, allegedly grabbed the 46-year-old woman, threw her to the ground, held a knife to her throat and raped her.

The second migrant, identified as Mexican immigrant Leovando Moreno, 37, was arrested after he allegedly struck the woman’s 34-year-old boyfriend with an object when he tried to stop the vicious assault, officials said.

Davon Bonilla, who previously lived at the La Quinta Hotel on Third Avenue that has been converted into a migrant shelter, was charged with first-degree rape, second-degree assault, first-degree sexual abuse, menacing and unlawful possession of a weapon, officials said.

Moreno was charged with second-degree assault and unlawful possession of a weapon.

The victim was taken to Coney Island Hospital in stable condition, sources said.
