A Manhattan plastic surgeon has hit back at a model's ex-girlfriend's explosive claims that he turned her into a “sex slave” and performed surgeries without anesthesia to hide the abuse.
Maya Willow Sias' own texts and Instagram posts disprove her bombshell statements about Fifth Avenue surgeon Ammar Mahmoud, his lawyers said last week. argued in a court filing in response to the lawsuit.
The 18-page response alleges that Sias, 25, is a “manipulative woman with a history of alcohol-related violence and threatening her boyfriend with false reports of abuse.”
Mark Kasowitz, a partner at Kasowitz Benson Torres LLP and the doctor's attorney, told the paper, “She won't tell the truth because, as we detailed in our response, she is a Mahmud for money.'' This is because they are trying to shake off doctors.”
In a lawsuit filed in Manhattan court in October, Ms. Sias alleged that Mr. Mahmoud made her a “sex slave” during their brief, abusive relationship.
The case was transferred to federal court in November.
Mahmoud once beat Sias so brutally that his eye socket was shattered. He then secretly took Sias to the luxurious Alinea Medical Spa in an attempt to cover up the abuse. So he injected a painful filler called a bomb suit into her still swollen face without anesthesia. I fought with
The complaint includes a photo of Sias' bruised and swollen face that the model allegedly took after Mahmoud's assault on June 7, 2023, in which Sias wakes up mid-way. He is said to have beaten her mercilessly and suffocated her with a pillow. That night, I caught him partying with three prostitutes.
But Ms Mahmoud's lawyers claim Ms Sias's story of horrific abuse and sexual slavery is undermined by her Instagram photos and private messages with her then-boyfriend.
According to the new filing, these texts and photos provide contemporaneous evidence that she was living an easygoing and glamorous life while Cyas alleges horrific abuse and confinement. That's what it means.
Text messages from the early morning hours of June 7, 2023, appear to show that Ms. Mahmoud and Ms. Sias were at the nightclub until nearly 4 a.m., and an Instagram post from one of her friends says that a face showed no injuries, the application alleges.
Other posts later that day showed Ms Sias went to the Lamia fish market for a “girls night” with three friends, contradicting her claim that she had gone to dinner with Mr Mahmoud. The paper claims that.
“More importantly, on June 8, Ms. Sias posted a photo of herself on Instagram, which precludes the June 7 assault alleged in the complaint. ”, the filing states.
The newspaper could not independently verify whether the photo, which showed Ms. Sias' apparently unharmed face, was taken after the alleged attack.
Sias claimed that Mahmoud effectively kept her locked up in his apartment for a month following the alleged assault.
In a filing, Mahmoud's lawyer said text messages from June 8, 2023 show she “attended three separate events that night and did not seek his permission.” It is claimed that it has been done.
The clandestine treatment Ms. Sias claims she gave Mr. Mahmoud to his stricken face in late July 2023 is also corroborated by texts she sent to Mr. Mahmoud in early August 2023, which The contents and right eye are shown to be in “perfect condition,” the application claims.
The filing also includes other, sometimes graphic, texts written by Sias to Mahmoud, which the lawyers say were not the nightly forced sexual assaults Sias claims he suffered for months, but rather two. They argue that it shows that the people were in a mutual and consensual relationship.
Mahmoud's lawyers also said that Sias ultimately left New York not to escape abuse, but because “he was no longer willing to pay for all the luxuries she wanted.” claims.
A few days after Sias left town, she became engaged to “another wealthy older man, who is about 40 years her senior, and who is now her husband,” with whom she had a tumultuous relationship, including false accusations of abuse. The application alleges that they were in a relationship.
Sias' attorney, Larry Hatcher, could not be reached for comment.
The abuse accusations made by Sias in the lawsuit echoed similar claims made by Mahmoud's ex-wife in a long legal battle.
