NYC protesters call for ‘intifada revolution’ hours after New Orleans attack

Hundreds of demonstrators called for an “intifada revolution” in Times Square on New Year's Day, hours after dozens of terrorists carrying ISIS flags stormed a New Year's parade in New Orleans.

Demonstrators held placards that read “Zionism is cancer,'' “No war with Iran,'' and “End all US aid to Israel.'' The Times of Israel reported.

“You white man, we're sending you back to Europe,” one woman wearing a keffiyeh shouted at counter-protesters, an exchange captured on video. “Go back to Europe!”

The speaker shouted into a megaphone, “2024 was the year of the fight against Zionist crimes.''

Hours before the demonstration, 42-year-old Shamsuddin Jabbar plowed his pickup truck into a crowd of New Year's Eve revelers on Bourbon Street in New Orleans.

The attack occurred around 3:15 a.m. Wednesday, killing 15 people, including Mr. Jabbar, and injuring 35 others.

FBI Assistant Director Christopher Raja The department announced Thursday that investigators recovered multiple weapons from the crime scene and the surrounding area. That includes two improvised explosive devices (IEDs) in coolers at the intersection of Bourbon Street and Orleans Street and a second intersection just two blocks away. He added that the FBI would like to speak with any witnesses who may have seen the cooler containing the IED.

Jabbar served in the Army from March 2007 to January 2015 as a human resources specialist and information technology specialist (IT). After active duty, he served in the Army Reserve from January 2015 to July 2020 as an IT specialist.

During his service, he was deployed to Afghanistan from February 2009 to January 2010.

The FBI said in a Facebook video before the attack that Jabbar said he had joined ISIS and submitted his will before this summer.
