A man with a knife slashed a stranger on the hand late Friday on a Manhattan train after an argument turned violent, police said.
The 27-year-old victim was riding the Uptown A train between West 14th Street and Penn Station in Chelsea around 11:30 p.m. when he exchanged words with an unknown man who slashed his left hand with a box cutter. . said the police.
According to police, it is unclear what the two men were fighting about.
The victim got off the train at Penn Station in Midtown and called police.
They were taken to Bellevue Hospital in stable condition.
The man with the knife remained on the train.
On Thursday morning, a subway conductor was stabbed in the neck after sticking his head out of the train at a Brooklyn station. It took 34 stitches to close the gaping wound.
“I don’t want to go back on that train. It’s just not for me anymore,” Alton Scott told The Post on Saturday.
