A 59-year-old subway conductor was slashed in the neck early Thursday morning in an outbreak of violence that has plagued residents in Democratic-run New York City.
ABC7 report The incident occurred around 3:40 a.m. at the Rockaway Avenue and Fulton Street station on the southbound A train in Brooklyn, authorities said.
The victim, identified as Alton Scott, was on a train entering the station. The moment he stuck his head out of the train window, he was slashed in the neck.
video footage show There were numerous police officers on the scene, and the Pix 11 report said “crime continues to be a problem.”
The victim was taken to a local hospital and is said to be in stable condition. He received 34 stitches but was eventually allowed to go home.
So far, authorities have not made any arrests in the incident, but said a man wearing a blue vest fled the scene after the cuts occurred.
TWU Local 100 Union President Richard Davis expressed frustration at the ongoing criminal activity that is hurting so many people in the community, saying workers need better protection before something worse happens to one of them. said that it is necessary.
“We’ve said it before and we’ll say it again: Statistics mean nothing until the violence stops,” he continued.

The Pix 11 report noted that 1,000 police officers have been added to the city’s transit system to curb violent incidents.
Breitbart News reported on February 13 that at least six people were shot on a Bronx subway, one of whom recently died.
“The Bronx, like New York City (and New York State) as a whole, has some of the strictest gun laws in the nation,” the newspaper said.
Additionally, New York City police have begun searching for a woman suspected of randomly assaulting a cellist who was performing at a Midtown subway station, Breitbart News reported on February 16th.

“According to the cellist, the assault occurred at 5:50 p.m. on February 13 at the 34th St. Herald Square station,” the newspaper said.
pix 11 report On Thursday, police announced that a woman was arrested Wednesday in connection with the incident.
