The Big Apple is finally beginning in spring.
The sun burns the metro area on Saturday, reaching a 83-degree height that induces sunburn.
“That’s about 20 degrees above the average where we should be. Our average is usually 63,” fox meteorologist Marissa Lautenbacher told the Post.
Despite the high-profile temperatures, the burst in warm climates did not beat the day’s record. This was set in 1976 when the metro area became a 92-degree sauna.
However, this was the warmest day ever in 2025, with the 81-degree day in March urged New Yorkers to temporarily dump their hoodies for their bikini.
The sun and clouds alternate all day on Saturday before temperatures drop to 58 degrees overnight.
According to Lautenbacher, temperatures could be capped at 67, but the weather will be warmer on Easter Holiday Sunday.

“Monday will be the coolest day for Easter on Monday, and it will be the best of 57,” the meteorologist said.
“But we’re fortunate to warm up for New York City. On Tuesday it had a high of 78 people, then the ’70s, and the rest of the ’60s will be the late ’60s.”
This spring season so far has been more deceitful than usual.
At the end of March and early April, it averaged 3.3 degrees higher than in the past few years, but is littered with many major temperature fluctuations and freezing rain.
Big Apple even carved a record-breaking day on April 5th with the “warmest morning low” temperatures of the Big Apple history moon, where weather stations recorded temperatures of 57 degrees, destroying previous records set at the airport at 50 degrees in 2000 and 56 degrees in 1997.
