NYPD chaplain busted for patronizing prostitute in the Bronx

Police say the NYPD pastor has been arrested by the Bronx after allegedly patronizing a prostitute.

With Father Michael Egino, a Catholic pastor of the NYPD. Pastor of St. Anselm's Church In the Bronx, he was arrested around 11:20am on Friday, officers said.

Sources say the 40-year-old was arrested for sexually providing women's money.

Egino was charged with a lover of prostitute and provided a desk appearance ticket for his unclean allegation act.

The circumstances surrounding the sinful solicitation remain unknown.

Egino was made Pastor NYPD in August 2021only seven years after being appointed priest.

He also serves as spiritual supervision for the Society of Holy Names in the NYPD Manhattan, the Bronx and Staten Island.

“In his spare time, he enjoys fishing, travel, strategy games and sports, and is a fan of the Yankees, Knicks and Jets,” according to Bio in the NYPD pastor's pamphlet.

A Catholic priest takes the vow of singleness when appointed. The priest can break that vow or delock it to be charged with a crime.

The Archdiocese of New York did not respond to a request for comment.

Father Egino could not be reached for comment.
