Prosecutors say NYPD officials who were tasked with outreaching young people in the community are being charged in two boroughs where they are allegedly having sex with a secret police officer pretending to be a 14-year-old girl.
Travis N. Desouza, 35, appeared in Queens County Court on Thursday, six months after his appearance at Brooklyn Courthouse.
Last October, officers sought to seduce Desuuza in Operation Sting after suspecting the unethical behavior of his abilities as a supervisor of the Police Explorer program.
An adult undercover investigator approached Desouza and complained that she had pose as a youth participant in the Police Explorer program and told him she was 14 years old and asked him for a phone number.
“Of course, stop trying to put me in the bag already,” the creepy officer responded to her request, according to the documents.
He continued to creepy overtures and allusions via texts and social media.
“And I don’t know if they’re going to think about how old we are.

Eventually, Desouza attempted to seal off his deal with the fake “Teen Girl” by sending a photo of himself with an erection while wearing boxer shorts.
“What’s under those shorts?” the undercover agent wrote on Snapchat, according to the complaint.
“Something big, maybe more than you can handle,” Desouza is said to have written back.
The accused, who worked within the 75th district of Brooklyn, allegedly sent some of the shocking sext and others from the NYPD building in Queens. As such, he is being charged in both boroughs.
Officer Desouza was suspended from the NYPD without pay, the department said Thursday.
He attempted to spread the welfare of his child at Queens Court in the first degree, attempting to spread the use of minors to minors, third degree official misconduct, indecency, according to criminal charges.
In Brooklyn, he was hit with accusations of trying to disseminate indecent material to minor minors, putting the welfare of his child at risk and attempting to lewd the third degree, records show.
On Thursday, the former Cop was released without bail, according to court records.
