NYPD sergeant may have accessed classified info on behalf of ‘foreign agents’: sources

The federal government is investigating allegations that NYPD Sergeant may have access to information classified on behalf of “foreign agents,” law enforcement agencies told the Post.

Sergeant. Sources and authorities say that work recently in a lower federal building in Manhattan as part of a task force investigating healthcare fraud schemes — has been suspended without pay to investigate whether they have access to sensitive material.

Jiang joined the department in January 2013 and quickly advanced to a more specialized unit.

He worked for the NYPD Deputy Squad, where he was assigned to a wire room where he was transcripted, but said he would be transferred to the Brooklyn South drugs.

Jiang spent less than two years on his mission before being transferred to the Joint Federal Medical Task Force, operated by Jacob K. Javits Federal Building at 26 Federal Plaza.

He began working in a well-connected role in October, records show.

Jiang had not faced criminal charges by Monday. He couldn't reach the post.

The NYPD did not respond to requests to post information when he was stopped.

Jiang Jiang, who spent more than $169,000 last year, was recognized for nine “benefits” or “excellent” police duties between 2015 and 2019, records show.
