The New York Stock Exchange is experiencing technical glitches that have affected several stocks, including Warren Buffett’s Berkshire Hathaway and Barrick Gold, sending shares of both stocks soaring by nearly 100%.

“NYSE Equities is currently investigating the reported technical issue and will provide additional information as soon as possible,” a NYSE spokesperson told FOX Business in the morning.
Several trading halts that could occur in response to excessive buying or selling or in anticipation of news were posted on the exchange’s website.

Berkshire’s Class A shares were affected, but its Class B shares now appear to be trading normally.
Major stock indexes such as the Dow Jones Industrial Average, S&P 500 and Nasdaq Composite were little changed.
