Oasis To Reunite After 15 Years

Oasis, the band behind everyone’s favorite karaoke classic “Wonderwall,” revealed Tuesday that they are reuniting after 15 years.

Liam and Noel Gallagher’s “guns have fallen silent” after a 15-year feud, the brothers announced in a series of social media posts. “The stars have aligned. The great wait is over. Come see. It will not be televised,” the rest of the first post reads, before the following announces a 14-date stadium tour in Cardiff, London, Manchester, Edinburgh, and Dublin.

Don’t be worried about the limited locations at this time, American fans. The lads say it’ll be a world tour. You’ll have your chance to sing along to their (best) hit (in my opinion), “Don’t Look Back In Anger.”

The duo haven’t performed together since August 2009 after Noel quit the band at the Rock En Seine festival, according to Deadline. The two have been pretty nasty about each other publicly ever since, though reportedly settled their differences in recent weeks. Liam dedicated his performance of “Half The World Away” to Noel at his headlining slot at the Reading festival, Sunday. Judging by the quality of their marketing campaign for the new tour and the fact it is taking place next summer, I wouldn’t be surprised if the boys have been getting along for a little longer than a few weeks.

Going on tour right before another season of Brits likely choosing between eating and heating because the economy is so miserable? It’s not a stupid move. I think so many British people are such fans of these lads, they’ll skip meals to see them live.

And even though I’m not the biggest Oasis fan, I reckon it’ll be a spiffing show.
