A key figure in former President Barack Obama’s campaign is joining Vice President Kamala Harris’ presidential campaign as a senior adviser.
David Plouff built his reputation as a campaign guru by leading Obama from unknown Illinois congressman to the White House in one of the most difficult and historic elections in American political history. He served as a top adviser in the Obama White House and effectively ran Obama’s 2012 campaign from his position in the administration.
President Joe Biden suffered a crushing defeat in the debate on June 27 and ultimately lost his status as a candidate, which led several party heavyweights to lose their support to the president, but Biden will now be entrusting his fate to Harris.

Obama reportedly played a key behind-the-scenes role in pressuring Harris’ boss, Biden, to halt his increasingly fanciful reelection campaign and pave the way for Harris’s rise.
But this powerful operative is coming to Harris campaign headquarters with a package.
Since leaving the government, Plouffe has worked He is president and policy strategist at FWD.us, an open-borders 501(c)(4) organization founded by Facebook’s Mark Zuckerberg that has fought for amnesty for illegal immigrants, relaxed immigration restrictions, and a significant increase in visas for foreign workers.
Plouffe is considered perhaps the most important campaign operative in the Harris campaign, tying her to the FWD.us Wall Street policies of open borders, cheap labor, low wages and high real estate prices that increasingly exclude Americans from homeownership, with minorities hit hardest.
The policy would please Harris’ longtime donor base, but voters are unlikely to embrace it.
Harris has sought to disassociate herself from Biden’s involvement with the border crisis, escaping criticism that he appointed her to manage the border at a time when border security and the economy remain top of mind for voters.
