Obama Gets Pushback on Twitter After Calling for More Gun Control

On Friday, National Gun Violence Awareness Day, President Barack Obama’s call for more gun control was met with a huge backlash on Twitter.

His call for more gun control combined with a call to support Everytown for Gun Safety, owned by Mike Bloomberg.

President Obama tweeted:

Posted by another Twitter follower photograph I photoshopped Obama’s skeet shooting and added a detachable magazine and an adjustable rear stock to the firearm.

Others posted a photo of the dead border agent Brian Terry, while others pointed to Operation Fast and Furious, an Obama-era operation that smuggled more than 2,000 guns into Mexico.

Agent Terry was shot dead while on duty on December 14, 2010. Two Operation Fast and Furious rifles were found at the scene of Terry’s murder.
