Obama, Pelosi spoke privately about Biden concerns

Former President Barack Obama and former House Speaker Nancy Pelosi reportedly privately discussed growing concerns about President Biden’s 2024 reelection campaign this week as a growing number of “highly connected Democrats” plot to force him out of office early.

President Obama and House Speaker Pelosi are said to have discussed how much harder it has now become for the embattled 81-year-old president to beat his Republican rival, former President Donald Trump, but neither is sure what to do, sources said. He told CNN.

Many Democrats are also pleading behind the scenes with President Obama and House Speaker Pelosi to end the ongoing chaos quickly, before more damage is done, with just four months to go until the election, the sources added.

Biden rejected growing calls to abandon his candidacy after his disastrous defeat in the first presidential debate with Trump on June 27.

Those cries are likely to grow louder after Thursday night’s error-riddled “big boy” press conference, held only to quell Democrats’ cries for Biden to resign.

“They are watching and waiting for President Biden to make a decision for himself,” a longtime Democrat close to both Obama, Pelosi and Biden told CNN.

Meanwhile, according to other sources He told Axios Leading Democrats, most of them veterans of the Obama and Clinton administrations, have been planning hourly for how best to get Biden out of the running.

The group, which the media outlet dubbed the “Informal Committee to Defeat the President,” appears to be sending out mass text messages and emails, requesting polls and organizing donors in an effort to oust Trump.

Instead of clamping down on a rebellious Biden and his family, sources say the Democrats in question are trying to pressure Obama, Pelosi, Clinton, Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer and House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries.

Obama’s team declined to comment on reports of his private discussions, while Pelosi’s team suggested no one could have had such information.

“No one in Congress knows about Speaker Pelosi’s conversations with President Obama,” a Pelosi spokesman said. “Anyone who says they do is not telling the truth.”

The development came just hours after Biden spoke in a husky voice, coughed frequently and lost his train of thought multiple times during a closely watched news conference in Washington on Thursday night.

He ended up calling Vice President Kamala Harris “Vice President Trump,” drawing swift ridicule on social media from his potential successor and 2024 Republican rival.

“Bad Boy Joe started his ‘Big Boy’ press conference with, ‘I wouldn’t have picked VP Trump as my VP, but I don’t think she’s qualified to be President.’ Well done, Joe!” Trump wrote on his Truth Social page.

The gaffe came just after he introduced Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky as “President Putin,” confusing him with the Russian tyrant who has been waging war against his country for two and a half years.
