It’s another unremarkable parlay win, but this time it’s thanks to the backup tight end.
Just two weeks after one bettor pummeled Cade Otton and Cole Kmet for two touchdowns and won more than $10,000, another bettor targeted an unknown backup tight end.
Chargers backup Stone Smart and Panthers No. 2 tight end Tommy Tremble each scored a touchdown on Sunday.
The bettor known as @LarryLocks8 on X parlayed the two for a score of +700 each with odds of 63/1 at FanDuel Sportsbook.
A $100 bet won $6,400.
Sometimes it’s best to follow the injury news, as Smart and Tremble were forced to sit out after starters Gerald Everett and Hayden Hurst were injured.
Everett looked questionable all week and missed practice all week with a chest injury.
He was sent off late Friday.
Donald Parham usually gets the most out of Los Angeles’ looks, but it was smart to get three targets from quarterback Justin Herbert, including an additional red zone look.
Smart completed a 51-yard pass for an easy touchdown.
Meanwhile, for the Panthers, Tremble is a bright spot for Carolina, which has one of the worst offensive lines in the league.
Tremble scored his third touchdown of the season, even though the Panthers brought in Hurst to take over as tight end in the offseason.

Hurst was sidelined Friday with a concussion.
Neither Carolina player was considered particularly likely to score a touchdown against a Cowboys defense that is one of the strongest in the NFL.
The Panthers’ offense topped only the Giants in DvOA on Sunday 31st, while Dallas’ defense ranked third behind the Browns and Ravens.
Although neither touchdown scorer helped their team win, Tremble and Smart helped ensure this bettor won $6,400.
