Many players around the NFL will be playing for incentives in Week 18.
Odell Beckham Jr. could have been one of those players, but it ultimately won't be the case, despite his stats coming close to earning a big paycheck.
With the Baltimore Ravens clinching the No. 1 seed in the AFC, the team opted to give Beckham, likely MVP Lamar Jackson and others two weeks off to stay fresh for the AFC Regional Round. There is.

Beckham certainly wants to be fully prepared for the playoffs, but missing out on a potential $1.25 million is definitely a little harsh.
Beckham has an incentive in his contract that says he would have earned $250,000 if he had five more receptions (35 this year). If he had scored two more touchdowns, he would have earned an additional $250,000.
But if Beckham had turned the clock back to his time with the New York Giants, it would have been a big bonus.
Beckham has 565 receiving yards this season. If he had scored over 750, he would have earned an additional $750,000.
The 31-year-old has gained 185 yards in a game only twice in his career, and ironically not since 2016 against the Ravens.

in Instagram posts highlighting incentivesBeckham used several laughing emojis to tell gamblers: “Don't bet on me.”
“If everything was up to me, there's no question about it. I have to feed my son, but life doesn't work that way.” he also wrote.
That means Beckham will finish with 35 catches for 565 yards and three scores.
Beckham, who won a Super Bowl with the Los Angeles Rams, recently called the current Ravens team “the best” he's ever been on.
“That's what it's all about,” Beckham said at last weekend's postgame celebration. “That's the way the organization is run. That's the players. … This is the best team I've ever been a part of in the NFL.”
