Odell Beckham Jr. may have declared victory, but he’ll have nothing to show for it.
The star wide receiver sued Nike for $20 million in 2022 for breach of contract, but was countersued by the sports apparel giant.
On Thursday, a jury in Multnomah County Circuit Court in Oregon found that neither side breached contract and no damages should be awarded.
Still, Beckham claimed victory.
“Just do it right @nike,” the 31-year-old wrote. wrote on Instagram“I would like to take this opportunity to thank God first and foremost, my Heavenly Father. I would like to thank my team for all the time they spent preparing this case. I would like to thank the jury for simply doing the right thing in a world filled with evil. My message to anyone who needs this is to stand up for what you believe in. Justice has been served!!!”
Nike saw it as a W as well.
“With this verdict, all of Mr. Beckham’s claims have been dismissed without monetary damages,” the company said in a statement. “This verdict confirms that Nike has kept its promises. Nike thanks the jury and court for their careful handling of this case.”
The Dolphins wide receiver, who reportedly signed a one-year, $3 million contract this offseason, is seeking more than $20 million in damages from Nike, alleging the company has not paid him royalties owed to him through an endorsement deal.

“Nike has refused to honor its agreed-upon contractual obligations,” the lawsuit reads. “Far from continuing to pay Mr. Beckham the compensation and guaranteed royalties it is contractually obligated to pay, Nike has willfully withheld millions of dollars and fabricated excuses for not paying.”
Nike countersued, seeking between $7 million and $15 million, alleging that Beckham violated his contract by customizing the gloves.
The two sides are locked in a legal battle, with Beckham appealing some of the claims. Previous lawsuits dismissed.
