“Giant for Life” was often a phrase that came to mind with the team that drafted him during his tenure, but he eventually headed south to the New Jersey Turnpike in Pennsylvania. I returned to the state where I played college football.

After six seasons with the Giants, Berkley chose to sign a three-year, $37.75 million contract with the rival Eagles.

After just one playoff appearance in the last six years, it took only a season to play cards all the time spent with the Giants.

Some fans may be disgusted towards Berkley due to his decision to leave the Giants, while others do not do anything more to keep him You may have that feeling for the organization itself.

Whether it's salty or support from Berklee, his time in the blue remains a memorable stepping stone in his career towards his Super Bowl victory.

“My message to Giants fans would be, 'It's just love,'” Berkley said. “It's naive to think they haven't supported me over the past six years. Obviously some of them were disappointed with my decision, but the way I see it, everything that happened over there , and the love I have for them is why I can get the success I have now.”
