Beckham recalled his confidence being “beaten” heading into a game against Aaron Rodgers “in his prime” in Green Bay in -3 degrees Celsius in January.
“My biggest regret is that I allowed something like that to happen,” he said. “My confidence was shattered…the energy changed…it was an energy I couldn't overcome. I couldn't pray for it to go away, I couldn't hope for it.
“I walked into the stadium and felt like it was over, even though we had been practicing for a week. My confidence was shattered. If I had confidence, the energy would have changed.
“If I had won, it would have been a symbolic event, but for me it was an energy that I couldn't overcome on my own. I couldn't pray for it to go away, I couldn't hope for it to go away. I did. It was heavy.”
