OG Anunoby’s injury absence could hit All-Star break even after upgrade

INDIANAPOLIS – OG Anunoby missed his fourth straight game on Tuesday despite being upgraded to something suspicious in injuries reporting.

The two-way Knicks have not played since they sprained their foot against the Lakers on February 1st.

If he is not available at home against the Hawks on Wednesday, Anunoby's absence extends to an All-Star break, with him having at least 19 days between the games he was played.

About 90 minutes before the tip-off against the Pacers, Tom Thibodeau called Anunoby a “game time decision.”

He was then removed from what became a 128-115 victory.

The precious Achihua again began with a spot for power forward Anunoby, with Miles McBride coming off the bench.

Achiuwa scored nine points with 12 rebounds.

McBride finished with 15 points, going 4-for-4 from a 3-point range.

The Pacers were without Miles Turner due to neck tension.

Josh Hart found something new to enjoy in the otherwise “bottom of the barrel” NBA city.

Praise of Indianapolis for its donut shop and White Castle fast food options, Hart said he discovered Jamaican food spot Yaso Jamaica Grill in the playoffs last year.

“Spots of Fire Jamaica,” Hart said. “I didn't think I would say there's a Jamaican spot anywhere in the Midwest that there's a fire. It was a hit. They got two things I love: donuts and Caribbean cuisine. .”

He damaged the white castle from the list for gut health reasons.

On last season's podcast, Hart bashed Indy in the city's context, hosting the 2024 NBA All-Star Game.

“If you're not playing the Pacers, you're not stepping into that state,” Hart said.

The Knicks then spent a long time in Indianapolis, losing to the Pacers in the second round of the playoffs.

“Obviously, they play very quickly. [Tyrese Haliburton]obviously he can make a shot, and they take out the ball quickly. And obviously, it puts a lot of stress on your defense,” “We have to communicate at a high level.”

“Not only in transition defense, but in half court. They move, slide, run around. …We have to be decisive about communication. We need to be prepared. It's a great environment to play. Clearly, in last year's playoff series, everyone thinks I hate Indiana for some reason.”

Jalen Brunson said he accepted another invitation to the All-Star 3-point contest for two reasons.

“One thing, because I lost it last year,” he said. “And gym time is limited [at All-Star Weekend]. So get some shots. ”

Branson was eliminated in the first round last year despite scoring 24 points.

Milwaukee's Damien Lillard defeated Karl Anthony's town and Trae Young in the final.

Towns, the winner of the 2022 shootout this year, is not taking part. Branson participated in the contests: Lillard, Cade Cunningham of Detroit, Darius Garland of Cleveland, Tyler Hero of Miami, Buddy Haeld of Golden State, Come Johnson of Brooklyn and Clippers Norm Powell.
