Ohio woman downs her favorite drink to celebrate 106th birthday

Florence “Fireball Flo” Hackman, the Ohio woman who made headlines last year for getting the shot to celebrate her birthday, recently turned 106, but she still doesn't drink Fireball. I'm here.

“Flow brightens our days and gives us all the joy we can experience later in life,” said Kristen Kelly, executive director of Traditions of Deerfield, a senior living facility in Loveland, Ohio, where Hackman lives. It reminds me of joy and joy,” he told Fox News Digital.

Ms. Hackman's happy demeanor is “a very inspiring way of life, and we love her for that,” Ms. Kelly said.

Born on December 16, 1918, “Fireball Flo” credits her longevity to her positive attitude.

“I just try to be nice to people and try to take it one day at a time. That's it,” Hackman said in a quote published in Traditions of Deerfield magazine. Ta.

“If you can accomplish that in one day, you can move on to the next,” she said.

“So that's what you have to do. One day at a time, think about what I have to do today. You have to keep moving as long as possible.”

There may also be a genetic component to her longevity. Her mother lived to be 104 years old.

In a video posted on Hackman's birthday, he can be seen thanking everyone for coming to celebrate and encouraging them to “have a lot of fun here.”

Her family “always had so much fun. And I never got over it…so maybe that's why I've been here so long,” she said with a laugh.

Hackman seemed to be heeding her own advice.

She sang “Happy Birthday” and took a sip of alcohol before blowing out the candles on her chocolate-covered birthday cake.

The Ohio native and avid Cincinnati Bengals fan was also honored by the team on her birthday.

She hopes the Bengals, currently 6-8 and third in the AFC North, return to the Super Bowl.

“I hope they get to the Super Bowl and we want that too. That would be big. And I hope they make it happen while I'm still here. I hope so,” Hackman said.
