An Oklahoma man has been charged with approaching a strip club dancer and suggesting he have sex with his 2-year-old daughter. A man was arrested for soliciting sex with an infant, police said.
Michael Jon Overby, 32, was arrested on Monday and charged with lewd and indecent offerings/acts towards children and accessing a computer for illegal purposes. according to to the Oklahoma City Police Department.
On March 12th, Overby is said to have gone to the Red Dog Saloon. He met a dancer at her strip club and she gave him her phone number.
According to court records obtained by KOKH-TVOverby reportedly asked a strip club dancer via text message if she could have sex with her 2-year-old daughter.
Overby is said to have written to the dancer, “Will you allow me to have sex with your daughter?”
The woman replied, “I have to speak directly.”
The woman told the police her frightening suggestion of child sex crimes and agreed to cooperate with the authorities.
The Cleveland and Lincoln county district attorneys’ offices have contacted the Oklahoma City Police Department about the disturbing accusation that Overby “attempted to seek inappropriate physical contact with an infant.”
Oklahoma City Police MSGT. “They came across some information and it was credible information. It was passed on to our detectives who began processing the case,” Knight said.
With police assistance, the woman contacted Overby about his proposal to have sex with her infant daughter on March 16.
Her mother said to Overby, “I’ve been thinking about it, are you not going to hurt me physically?” She also asked the man what a fair price would be to have sex with her two-year-old daughter.
Overby is said to have “responded with graphic details”.
Overby told his mother that he hosts a child sex crime suspect at his apartment in Cleveland County, where the Oklahoma City Police Department arrested him Monday night.
Overby was being held at the Oklahoma County Jail on $200,000 bail.
