Last Friday in April? Honestly, I don’t mind. It’s an important date, and it feels like we’re really heading into summer territory now.
So, the first night of the NFL Draft is behind us. It was pretty rough, to be honest. Oh well, let’s just dive in.
We’ll kick things off right since it’s the weekend. Full speed ahead! Let’s get started.
Welcome to Friday Nightcap. Time for Olivia Dunn to pull out her Baywatch swimsuit and give her car a wash. Just part of the job, right? Check this out!
And what else? We’ve collected the highlights from our content-packed week. Nick Saban has some interesting preferences (though not everyone agrees), and last night’s draft had its fair share of memorable moments.
Now, some might think it’s odd for a young guy to choose Busch Light, but hey, it’s Friday!
No, I wasn’t able to grab a Busch Light Apple yesterday. Publix was out, and the kids weren’t up for another trip, so I’ll swing by Walmart this weekend to see what they’ve got.
Busch Light seems to not be everyone’s cup of tea.
From Gary E. in Pennsylvania:
Enough with the excitement—time to savor real adult beer.
Let’s not act like middle schoolers rummaging through dad’s fridge thinking that beer commercials mean good taste.
Bud is just an advertising empire—not all that great.
Feeling lightheaded from some lackluster light beer mixed with apple juice is just embarrassing.
There are plenty of excellent adult beers out there. We should all find them.
Wow. Sorry, Gary, but I do enjoy Busch Lite. And Miller Lite too. What am I missing here? Someone, please share your recommendations.
And no IPAs, please. Living in Florida, I can’t deal with strong or dark beers.
We stick to light beers; hydration is key, right?
Honestly, I’m not a beer snob. Beer is beer. If that’s all I have, I’ll drink it—no matter where I am. Some people turn their nose up at light or dark beers. Me? I’ve never skipped beer.
As for Gary, if he’s not a fan of my beer choices, he’d probably be horrified at my whiskey collection filled with Kentucky Gentlemen. It’s just what I like.
Alright, let’s kick it off with Livy and dive into this week’s content.
What a week for content!
I’m honestly skeptical about the new “Baywatch” reboot. I mean, why? It seems like a gamble. But hey, I’ll tune in this fall to see how Livy performs as an actress. It’s not just about the swimsuit factor anymore.
Back in the day, people were hooked on “Baywatch” for that, but in 2026, you can find swimsuit photos anywhere—look at social media.
But can she act? That’s what I’m curious about. This is a big moment for MLB’s first lady, and I’m excited to see how she navigates it.
Moving on to the main talk this week: the NFL Draft, of course.
Saban, McVay, ESPN
It’s been a week loaded with content. We had the draft, and while some new faces weren’t thrilled, it went on.
Like Tim P!
It’s kind of sad that people call the first round of the NFL Draft the “greatest night of the year.” I stopped watching after Colin Kaepernick and his colleagues took a knee. Missed it since, and I doubt I’ve missed anything significant. Autumn is fantastic; instead of being a football fanatic, why not enjoy it?
That’s pretty harsh! Tim probably doesn’t speak for all the new FOX News viewers. It’s cool, though—everyone’s welcome here. Tim seems to join in, but maybe he’s not a huge NFL fan.
Let’s not equate me with Kaepernick. That’s too far. But welcome, Tim!
Now, let’s speed this up for the weekend. First, Nick Saban!
I’m amazed, honestly. Nick is great. He thinks wide butts are great—not a shocking take!
And speaking of Saban and the draft…
Did anyone else notice how things went last night? I did. As the picks rolled in, it just seemed like a tough night for ESPN and the NFL Network. I even logged off Twitter for a bit.
But when I checked back, I was hit with a spoiled pick from a team that picked three spots later. The online chatter was way ahead of ESPN—pretty sad. I’m not sure who to blame; part of me thinks the NFL should rethink the long walk through that tunnel after selection. Also, those tiny hats? They’re really not necessary!
Once chosen, it should just be a quick walk to the stage, get the hat, a hug, and off you go. Let’s streamline the process for 2027.
Well, that’s a wrap for today and this week. What a week it’s been! We had a somewhat rough start, but things are improving. Looking forward to a smoother week ahead.
Take me away for the weekend, Sean McVay, and congrats on the great pick!
