Olivia Dunne, teammates mourn LSU track star Dillon Reidenauer

Olivia Dunn and the LSU gymnastics team mourned the death of Tigers track star Dillon Riedenauer at a competition with George Washington on Friday night.

Dan and her teammates wore black ribbons around her hair to honor 18-year-old Paul Vaulter who crashed at around 9pm on Wednesday.

The car's reidenauer had fallen into a t on the bike, so both vehicles exploded into flames near Tiger Stadium in Baton Rouge. According to WBRZ.com.

Bodhi Linton, a 23-year-old motorcycle driver, also died in a crash.

Dan posted a photo of himself and his teammate Alyona Szchennikova. Sporting a black silk bow in a ponytail in the locker room before the meeting, holding a black heart in the photo, on Instagram stories.

She also posted a black and white photo of Reidenauer, reposted the LSU Athletics Post with photos of her and her teammates wearing a back ribbon, captioning “Dillon Tonight's Competition” with a black heart emoji.

No. 2 LSU scored a season-high record in points in a victory over No. 35 George Washington, 198.125-195.475.

The LSU community has been in mourning since news of Reideneaur's death was broken on Friday.

“We are devastated by the tragic passage of Dillon Reidenauer. Dillon Reidenauer was taken away from us too soon,” LSU track and field coach Dennis Shaver said in a statement. Posted on the school's website on Thursday. “Everyone at LSU's athletics field maintains Dillon's loved ones in our thoughts and prayers.

“We will do everything we can to ensure that our student-athletes and staff have the resources they need to handle the grief of this terrible loss. We also want to thank Texas A&M for providing their support and compassion as we are on the roads of College Station for the SEC Championship.”

Reidenauer, from Louisiana, was described at LSU Bio as one of the best pole wolters in the state during his time at Fontainebleau High School.

Reidenauer's high school manager Sam Sanders called her a “model student-athlete” in the comments nola.com.

“She was the kind of person the coach wanted on any team,” Sanders said. “She was going to set her mind at LSU and do whatever it takes to achieve that goal.

“It's hard to handle. It's like that losing someone quickly. It's a very calm day.”
