LSU’s gymnastics team, which includes TikTok stars, won its first NCAA title in program history on Saturday.
Connor McClain scored a 9.9625 on beam, becoming one of five LSU gymnasts to score at least a 9.95 in the final rotation that led the Tigers to the title.

Dunn did not play Saturday, but played a key role during LSU’s impressive season. She was named SEC Gymnast of the Week earlier this season.

“Natty champion baby!” she wrote in one post. “Best day ever,” said another.
LSU, which finished 4th last year, caught up with Utah by 0.037 points after three rotations and led 3rd place California by 0.113 points, but fourth-year student Sierra Ballard set a career-high 9.950 in her only routine of the day. He marked the point and started the final four rotations. Kiya Johnson, Haley Bryant and Aleah Finnegan matched that score as the Tigers posted a program-record 49.7625 points on beam, clinching the national championship for LSU.

LSU won the trophy with a total of 198.2250 points. California took second place with a score of 197.8500, 0.0500 points ahead of Utah in third place.
Bryant, who won the individual all-around title on Thursday with a score of 39.7125, and University of California’s MJ Frazier matched that total on Saturday, tying for the highest individual score in the team final.
