Olivia Miles forgoes WNBA draft, enter transfer portal in stunner

Olivia Miles shook the WNBA Draft landscape with a bomb on Monday night.

The Notre Dame star, widely predicted to be the second pick in the draft, abandons the draft and enters the transfer portal. According to ESPN.

After missing the entire 2023-24 season due to a knee injury, the 22-mile, averaged 15.4 points, 5.8 assists and 5.6 rebounds per game this year, leading Notre Dame to a sweet 16 appearances.

In December, she became the first player in ACC history, recording consecutive triple doubles against Loyola and Virginia, with three total triple doubles of the year leading the country.

No. 3 Notre Dame was eliminated from Madness 2025 in March by TCU on Saturday.

She had suggested after the loss that he had been made at university, but at first glance it seems to have come to another decision.

“I love college, I think I made it bigger,” Miles said after the game. “That makes it difficult to maintain my decision.”

Miles has one season of eligibility remaining after using a medical redshirt last year.

“I trust myself no matter what decision I make,” Miles said previously. “Both decisions are good for me. I just trust myself. I'm certainly confident in my decision.”
