Paris, France:

Paris 2024 organisers on Friday unveiled a display of the Olympic rings on the Eiffel Tower, with just 50 days to go until the Summer Games open in the French capital.

The 29-metre-long, 13-metre-wide structure, made from recycled steel, was set into place on the south side of Paris’ iconic monument by around 30 workers using four cranes.

The Eiffel Tower will take centre stage at the Olympics, with beach volleyball events taking place at the feet of the Iron Lady.

Pieces of iron from the Eiffel Tower will also be used as part of the medals for the 2024 Paris Olympics.

The Paris Olympics will run from July 26th to August 11th.
