Conflict Between Reps. Ilhan Omar and Nancy Mace Heats Up

Rep. Ilhan Omar recently remarked that Rep. Nancy Mace may “need to get help,” hinting that some of her GOP peers might be struggling with personal issues. This comment came after a narrow House vote of 214-213, which sought to target Omar for censure and removal from various committees.

Mace accused Omar of making light of a tragic event, stating, “Ilhan Omar laughed at the cold-blooded assassination of an innocent American husband and father.” She continued, alleging that Omar has shown support for groups like ISIS and the Muslim Brotherhood, and implied that Congress had failed to hold her accountable.

In response, Omar firmly stated, “This is literally not true and this woman needs to get help.” She emphasized the urgency for those facing mental health issues to receive the assistance they need—suggesting that it’s critical for the betterment of the working environment.

Fox News Digital reached out to Omar’s office for further comments. Meanwhile, Mace expressed dissatisfaction with those who downplay significant events, affirming her belief that the context surrounding them should never be taken lightly.

Despite the tensions, some House Republicans voted against Mace’s resolution, indicating a split within the party on the matter. During a discussion, Omar implied that comments made by conservative commentator Charlie Kirk were inappropriate, alluding to a conspiracy theory regarding his downfall.

After the vote, Omar took to social media, expressing gratitude for her colleagues standing by her side and calling for more rationality within the House.

The back-and-forth continued online, with Mace suggesting that Omar should consider returning to Somalia, while Omar retorted that Mace should focus on getting help. Mace is currently campaigning for the governorship of South Carolina.
