One arrested after authorities raid drug house with fentanyl in NYC: sources

At least one man was arrested Tuesday afternoon after law enforcement searched a Bronx home and found 12 kilograms of fentanyl, according to reports and law enforcement officials.

A 66-year-old man was taken into custody after authorities raided a secret drug lab in a Belmont apartment building around 3 p.m., police and sources said.

Twelve kilograms of fentanyl were found inside the home. news 12 Reported.

Eight officers from various agencies who participated in the raid suffered minor injuries and were treated for treatment, the FDNY said. Two other people were also treated.

Officials say at least one detective was exposed to dangerous drugs.

FDNY hazardous materials teams were working at the scene at 780 Garden Street through Tuesday night after the incident was first reported as a fentanyl spill.

According to News 12, authorities say the building where the attack took place also houses two daycare centers.

No children were injured.
