President Trump is set to unveil his trade agreement with the UK on Thursday morning. This will be the first deal since he announced his mutual tariff plan last month.
In a post on True Society, the president called the upcoming deal “complete and comprehensive,” suggesting it’s just the beginning as his administration navigates a challenging economy during the trade war.
On Capitol Hill, numerous administration officials are lined up to give testimony at the Senate budget hearing, marking a return for many of them this week.
FBI Director Kash Patel is scheduled to appear before the Budget Committee subcommittee at 9 am, while Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem will testify before the Appropriations Committee at 10 am.
Additionally, OpenAI CEO Sam Altman is expected at a Senate Commerce Committee hearing on artificial intelligence at 10 am.
Meanwhile, House Republicans are working to establish a consensus on the settlement bill to help advance Trump’s agenda. Speaker Mike Johnson (R-La.) has indicated he’s prepared for an anniversary approaching in less than three weeks.
