Only One Man Can Save CNN

CNN’s ratings took a heavy sucker punch to the face in 2022, sinking to historically low levels. It’s clear that only one man can save the dying network: former President Donald Trump.

Just a month ago, Trump told his Truth Social followers that CNN and MSNBC’s ratings were at record lows because they never say “Trump,” and it looks like the former leader of the free world could be absolutely correct. CNN averaged just above half a million viewers a day in 2022, and barely scraped 120,000 viewers in the key 25-to-54-year-old demographic.

Overall profitability has allegedly dropped to below $1 billion under the guidance of CNN’s self-proclaimed “roadside bomb” president Chris Licht. Without their ultimate villain on their screens, it would appear CNN, MSNBC and other corporate news media giants don’t have anything entertaining or interesting to offer the American public.

Analysis conducted by the Daily Caller during the first 100 days of President Joe Biden’s administration proved that CNN, along with all other corporate news outlets, absolutely depend on Trump for their ratings. “Newspapers, television, all forms of media will tank if I’m not there, because without me, their ratings are going down the tubes,” the man himself once predicted, and boy, was he correct!

I’m pretty sure the ratings released by AdWeek were made up of care homes that left the channel on, newsrooms tracking developing stories (because we have to) and the dust-coated screens on desks in the ghost town where CNN+ employees briefly worked. (RELATED: We’re Proud Of You, Jake Tapper)

Will CNN still exist in years to come, or will it have to merge with the other dwindling, archaic networks that can’t seem to get anybody to tune in? It doesn’t matter, because no one cares.
