California's only model faces serious criminal charges in connection with the death of a man who allegedly paid $11,000 for fetish acts, according to court documents.
Michael Dale, a 55-year-old resident of Escondido, California, contacted 31-year-old Michaela Brassai Lillalsdam in March and April 2023. Orange County Register.
The detective discovers “some nasty videos” of Dale, struggling to breathe with material on his face that he can't get rid of himself.
Dale paid Rylaarsdam over $11,000 and reads the affidavit: “Conversing with him, coming to his house, tying him, and doing other acts of bondage.”
Citing the affidavit, the register said Dale “has made some extraordinary requests, including wrapping him like a mummy in Saran's wrap and glueing women's boots to his feet.
Investigators determined that Lillalsdam had arrived at Escondido Home in Dale around 6pm on April 17, 2023. She said Dale “looks drunk,” but she decided to “spend the next time” in response to her fetish request.
KTLA-TV Police reported receiving a 911 call around 10pm that night.
Rylaarsdam reportedly had called with the 911 dispatcher who was coaching her through CPR.
A resident of the home reported that he was warned of an emergency and ran into Dale's room, “who was wearing sweatpants on the floor and wrapped in plastic that clings to his waist,” the Orange County Register reported.
The male resident described Rylaarsdam as “super surprising” during the desperate episode.
Dale was rushed to the hospital, but the next day he was declared brain dead. He left life support a few days later and passed away.
Authorities said Dale was suffocating and that his cause of death was linked to deprivation of oxygen into the brain.
An anonymous man who lives in the house in question pointed out that Dale recently rented a room at home and lived there five days before the fatal incident.
The man also said that the situation was so hurtful that the female housemate moved in shortly after the tragedy.
Rylaarsdam reportedly recorded fetish acts on her mobile phone, using them as sexual content on her only fan page.
According to the affidavit, the video showed Dale fighting to inhale while duct tape covered his mouth and rap secured his leg. Furthermore, his wrists were tied, duct tape covered his fingers, and bags and wraps covered his head.
Rylaarsdam denied putting anything on the victim's head.
The suspect allegedly handed over her phone to a detective.

Court documents allege that Rylaarsdam was committing sexual acts.
Rylaarsdam was arrested last month almost two years after Dale's death and was charged with two-degree murder charges after prosecutors failed to express their intent to kill him.
The register explained that “To prove a second-degree murder charge, the prosecutor is burdened with proving that the defendant has implied maliciousness — she deliberately commits the act, and the natural consequences of the act are dangerous to life.”
Rylaarsdam's defense attorney David Cohen insisted on his client side that “it's clear that he's not going to kill him.”
Cohen claimed that Lillalsdam “had him call 911, give him CPR and cooperated with the police.”
“There was no intention to kill him, and I don't think there was any attempt to hide this,” Cohen continued. “And she acted appropriately when she realized this was a problem.”
Cohen argued that “there is definitely an agreement factor – not just what he agreed, but what he actively wanted.”
San Diego County Assistant District Attorney David German said the bag with additional tape around it was on Dale's head for about eight minutes.
“The evidence showed that he hired her to do bondage and fetish acts,” German said. “There is no indication that he asked her to interfere with breathing, to apply tape over his mouth, and to place a plastic bag above his head.”
Rylaarsdam is currently in jail without bail.
She pleaded not guilty in Vista Superior Court.
