OpenAI sets up safety committee

OpenAI, the artificial intelligence (AI) company behind the popular chatbot ChatGPT, New Safety Panel It will be led by the CEO and will make recommendations to the board on “significant safety and security decisions.”

The new panel is OpenAI CEO Sam Altman Adam D’Angelo, Nicole Seligman and Bret Taylor will also be participating, OpenAI said in a blog post on Tuesday.
The company said the committee’s first task will be to “assess and further develop” OpenAI’s processes and safeguards over the next 90 days, according to colleague Philip Timotyea, after which the committee will make a recommendation to the board.
Once the board has considered the recommendations, they will be published as an update.
