Operation Dirtbag Leads to Arrests of Sex Offenders in Florida
White House press secretary Caroline Leavitt announced via social media that “Operation Dirtbag” has led to the capture of more than 150 illegal sex offenders in Florida. In a statement, Department of Homeland Security Secretary Noem expressed her horror at these individuals having entered the U.S., stating, “As a mother and grandmother, I am horrified.”
Appearing on Fox News, Secretary Noem shared details about Operation Criminal Return, a collaborative effort between state and federal law enforcement that successfully apprehended over 150 illegal alien sex offenders. “They will be gone,” she wrote on X.
Noem credited the leadership of President Trump for the operation’s success, stating that the Department of Homeland Security is actively working to remove dangerous individuals, including killers, rapists, and child molesters, from communities across the country.
The White House highlighted the success of Operation Dirtbag following Leavitt’s post, referencing an article that confirmed the arrests of over 150 illegal immigrant sex offenders in Florida.
“These individuals should never have come here to begin with,” Noem remarked. “It’s incredible that we’ve taken these sexual deviants off the streets, and there’s definitely more to be done.”
“I call it ‘Operation Dirtbag’ because these weren’t just any sex offenders; they were specifically targeting children,” she continued on Fox News’ “Fox & Friends.”
Noem mentioned that DHS is not limiting its efforts to just one area, emphasizing that ongoing operations are expanding beyond Chicago into other cities.
This initiative, which took place in Florida, involved multiple law enforcement agencies and is part of a broader strategy under President Trump’s administration to address mass deportations.
According to DHS officials, the 150 arrested child sex offenders were among more than 230 criminal aliens detained during Operation Criminal Return. Additionally, law enforcement apprehended illegal immigrants who had been charged with or convicted of serious crimes, including attempted murder and drug-related offenses.
