An Oregon nurse disappeared from a nightclub while on vacation in Hungary and was found dead.
Budapest Police Headquarters announced on November 8 that 31-year-old Mackenzie “Kenzie” Michalski was missing after disappearing from a nightclub while on vacation in Europe.
Friends first contacted authorities after a 31-year-old woman missed her flight and left her belongings in an Airbnb.
Authorities turned to surrounding security footage and identified Michalski and the male suspect last seen.

In a translated post, authorities said Michalaski was seen with men at several clubs the night she disappeared.
On November 7, police detained an Irish national in connection with the disappearance of an American tourist.
Investigators said the suspect admitted to meeting the woman at a local nightclub, dancing with her and then going to the man's apartment together.
Police said the two “became intimate and killed her in the process.”

Authorities said the Irish suspect cleaned out the apartment and hid Michalski's body in a dresser while he went out to buy a suitcase.
The suspect allegedly put Michalski's body in a suitcase, rented a car and drove to Lake Balaton, about an hour and a half from Budapest.

Police said the man hid Michalski's body in the woods before driving back to Budapest, where he was caught and arrested outside the apartment.
Homicide detectives questioned a 37-year-old Irishman, whose initials are LTM, as a suspect in the murder. Authorities have not released the suspect's full name.
Authorities said the man confessed to killing the woman but claimed it was an accident.
