An Oregon woman who was caught on video pushing her 3-year-old child onto railroad tracks in December 2022 has been found guilty of a non-insane crime, prosecutors announced Wednesday.
Brianna Lace Workman, 33, was ordered placed under the jurisdiction of the Mental Health Safety Review Board (PSRB) for up to 10 years of care, custody and treatment, according to the Multnomah County District Attorney.
On December 28, 2022, at the Gateway Transit Center in Portland, as the child and her mother waited on the platform, Workman, without provocation, pushed the child face-first into the MAX train tracks.
Surveillance footage of the incident released by the District Attorney’s Office appears to show the suspect jumping up from where he was sitting on a bench on the platform and shoving a child who was standing in front of him.
