Orlando Bloom Lists Malibu Mansion for Sale
Orlando Bloom has put his Malibu mansion on the market, seeking $12 million for the property. This comes after the actor, best known for his role in “Pirates of the Caribbean,” bought the home in 2011 for $2.5 million. The mansion, perched on a cliff near El Matador Beach, offers stunning ocean views and significant privacy.
Real estate agent Chris Cortazzo shared that Malibu’s housing market is on the upswing, recently experiencing a notable boost in buyer interest. “There’s more confidence among buyers, with many looking for deals they haven’t seen in recent years,” he noted.
The four-bedroom, five-bathroom home is described as having a “resort-like feel.” The layout encourages indoor-outdoor living and provides breathtaking views throughout. The main living space features high beamed ceilings, with wood and tile accents complementing a built-in audio system. The kitchen, boasting ocean vistas, comes equipped with high-end appliances and generous counter space—ideal for any home chef.
Bloom has made considerable renovations to the property, twice surpassing his original investment. He mentioned that the first floor was in a less than desirable state when he acquired it, prompting a complete overhaul into an open concept. Notably, the property also includes a garage for his collection of motorcycles.
The upper level consists of several bedrooms, including dual primary suites that also provide impressive ocean views. Both primary suites feature sliding glass doors that lead out to a spacious deck, luxurious closets, and well-appointed bathrooms.
Outside, the backyard is a haven for entertainment, complete with a covered patio area, a fireplace, a pool overlooking the ocean, and additional amenities like a spa, wet bar, and even a sauna.
Having rented out the mansion last year, Bloom felt it might be the right moment to part ways with the property. His son, Flynn, enjoyed many childhood memories in Malibu, which added sentimental value to the location for him. Bloom’s relationship with Katy Perry also played a role, particularly given their long journey as a couple, including their recent divorce announcement.
With its prime location and luxurious features, the mansion encapsulates a unique lifestyle that reflects Bloom’s taste and history in Malibu.
