O’Rourke: Biden did not succeed in the most crucial responsibility he had

Beto O’Rourke Criticizes Biden’s Reelection Bid

Former Congressman Beto O’Rourke (D-Texas) stated that President Biden “let the country down regarding the most significant responsibility he had” and believes he should not seek reelection in 2024.

“Just to be clear, Biden shouldn’t run again, and I want to emphasize that he failed this country in his most critical role,” O’Rourke said during an appearance on the “Pod Save America” podcast.

“We could potentially lose this remarkable nation, which may be partly influenced by President Biden’s decision to run for reelection,” added the Texas Democrat.

O’Rourke’s remarks come amid a broader discussion within the Democratic Party about Biden’s fitness for a second term as he gears up for the 2024 election, especially following insights revealed in a new book about the President’s administration.

“I think it’s becoming evident as we approach 2024 that a change is needed. Many folks have expressed doubts about his capability,” O’Rourke commented, noting that issues of credibility will persist until Democrats acknowledge their missteps.

Recently, “Pod Save America” host Jon Favreau recommended that Democrats start considering candidates for 2028.

Potential contenders like former Transport Secretary Pete Buttigieg and Connecticut Senator Chris Murphy (D) are now under scrutiny concerning Biden’s health and decision to run.

Meanwhile, Biden has been in the public eye again, which has garnered mixed reactions from party members.

During an appearance on “The View” last week, Biden faced criticism, with former First Lady Jill Biden refuting claims that he created a negative environment around him.
