Oscar Robertson roasts Draymond Green for declaring NBA ‘boring’

Draymond Green spoke a lot at the NBA All-Star Game over the weekend, but legendary Oscar Robertson wasn't too impressed with the Warriors' star's declaration that the league was “boring.”

Robertson, 86, fights back against Green's claims about the NBA, suggesting that Green might find the current game boring as he makes many passes and “not filming much.” It's there.

“Draymond says so. Who cares about what Draymond says?” Robertson said in an interview with SiriusXM NBA Radio. “The game is what it is. People like the game or not. And I think people enjoy the game, especially if the team can win.

“I don't choose that because I think he knows how to play basketball. But he gives the ball to curry more than anyone I've seen in basketball. For what he does. , it may be boring for him sometimes, when he's there, it may be boring. He doesn't film much, and he doesn't protect much. So it's boring.”

Green was not shy about the state of the game or his feelings about the All-Star Game over the weekend, lobing a lot of criticism about the new All-Star Game format during the Sunday Festival TNT airing in San Francisco.

Green has grossly criticised the inclusion of players in the Rising Stars Challenge, calling it “silly.”

That's why Charles Berkley started fighting back during the broadcast, which appeared to be lectures on Green, saying, “His generation ruined the game.”

The NBA is facing growing interest in reducing regular season games, All-Star games and TV ratings.

Green was talking to the media. Over the weekend, he spoke about the challenges the NBA is facing and made comments that he rubbed Robertson the wrong way.

“It's not smart basketball,” Green said. “I saw the clip so long ago Kobe said it was a coincidence basketball. He couldn't have done anything more right. All his possessions are like a chess game. Because it's something. Who can run faster, who can hit more threes, and that's not a real thing. I think it's very boring.”
