Oscars 2025: Harrison Ford bows out of ceremony over shingles diagnosis

According to some reports, Harrison Ford will no longer compete in the Academy Awards after being diagnosed with shingles this Sunday.

The 82-year-old actor is on a good break following his diagnosis on Friday. Entertainment Weekly It has been reported.

According to the US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, shingles is a painful rash disease that occurs when the virus that causes chicken pox after ingesting chicken pox is re-activated in the human body.

About one in three Americans can get shingles in their lifetime, leading to complications such as long-term neuralgia and vision loss.
