The Blooming Partnership between Taylor Swift and Travis Kelse over the past two NFL seasons has meant a lot.
That relationship not only opened the door for Swifties to learn about the NFL, but as our brave James Data learned when he joined their discrepancies server early in the relationship – their The partnership produced two holiday films inspired by them.
Of course, James saw and wrote about both.
But something from one of those films sparked a broader debate. From this scene Christmas in the spotlight, Pop star Bowin Sykes drew nine times MVP “Gonzo” Gonville, where he learns everything about wide receivers:
This is certainly an eye-catching achievement, considering that wide receivers have never beaten MVPs.
We've also put together this list because it made me think about other incredible fictional athletes, people with incredible accomplishments and things we loved. Fictional athletes we missed or someone you are a particular fan will ring out in comments!
Ricky Vaughan/Willy Maze Hayes – Major League
Major League Baseball took baseball in a different direction for modern audiences, with Vaughan and Hayes huge among them. Vaughan's Rebellion and Hayes' mouth and athletic abilities were something that Cleveland could change a lot of fun and game to defeat evil. New York Yankees.
Rocky Balboa – Rocky
There's really no need to say it. He was rocky and inspired millions over the years, which led to the belief trilogy.
Airbud – Airbud
Cute Golden Retriever plays basketball and rules the kids:
Show another dog that shows off such skills. We can discuss who is the best dog athlete. Until then, Air Bud deserves to be on the list.
Lightning McQueen – car
Lightning McQueen was fast. Really fast. Pure speed of the racecourse.
He needed to grow a little.
Thanks to detours through Radiator Springs and some guidance from former Piston Cup legend Dock Hudson, McQueen has discovered excellent maturity on the track. Thanks to that detour, McQueen won a stunning seven Piston Cup title.
By comparison, three drivers (Dale Earnhardt, Jimmy Johnson and Richard Petty) are at the top of NASCAR history, each with seven titles. It's a pretty impressive company for Lightning McQueen.
Doc Hudson – car
A serious crash reduced Doc Hudson's short-season race career, but he was still away from the Piston Cup Racing Series, which won three titles. He also enjoyed a tremendous second career as a local judge before returning to the Piston Cup as a mentor to Rising Star Lightning McQueen.
Joe “Hammer” Tanto – drive
Joe “Hammer” Tanto is one of the few drivers who can win the Indianapolis 500 title on his resume and is a former Kart Series champion.
He can also explain the mastery of a particular track through tricks like this.
Steve Nebraska – scout
He threw the perfect game in Game 1 of the World Series, but more impressively, he hit all 27 batters he faced with a minimum of 81 pitches. I don't know what will outweigh that.
Gordon Bombay – A mighty duck
When you first see A mighty duck I understand the basic backstory of Gordon Bombay. He was a youth hockey genius and was destined by the NHL before a knee injury derailed his career and became a lawyer.
It gives you a little glimpse into how good Bombay is. It's when Hans casually said, “You scored 198 goals that season.” We will brush it off because it sounds good, but 198 goals in a single season at all levels would make him the best hockey player in the history of the sport.
Look at this malfunction.
What a god.
Deke Van – College Hoops 2K8 West Illinois
I spent more than a year of my life simulating a college basketball video game from 15 years ago and blogging every move. You can read everything here. The Washington Post wrote a feature about it. The highlight of my journey with western Illinois was my first championship. When I streamed the title game on Twitch, Deke Van spoke to the whole world.
We love you, deke. I was always assuming you Seattle's Super Sonics and Glory.
