The outcome of the Republican primary in Virginia’s 5th Congressional District is unclear, but it has been privately announced between incumbent Rep. Bob Good and state Sen. John McGuire, who is endorsed by Trump. result So far, the race is showing to be pretty close.

Former President Donald Trump, a Republican candidate for president in 2024, endorsed Maguire, claiming the congressman was “bad” for the state and the country.

But Sens. Rand Paul of Kentucky and Mike Lee of Utah both endorsed Goode.
