Outrage erupts after San Francisco spa excludes trans people from ladies-only night to preserve ‘phallic-free’ space

Russian spas in San Francisco sparked controversy after a Russian spa called Banya in Archimedes excluded trans people from “women's only” nights to preserve “phallic” spaces.

Though nights at the Full Nude Spa are only scheduled once a month, transgender people and their allies have expressed anger that the spa is trying to exclude biological men from women's nights.

'Does a pissless trans man who appears on a women's only night be accepted or rejected? That's completely unknown. ”

“It's not overnight! According to San Francisco Standard, it's a deeper symptom of problem and if you don't speak up now, it's going to get worse if you don't object to it.

According to the San Francisco Chronicle, Lazelle Swimmer, a transgender from Oakland, has undergone a bottom-handed operation but cancels plans to go to the spa as a birthday snack. The swimmers were furious and devastated by the new policy.

“I don't have a penis,” the swimmer said. “I was erased in that statement, and it almost certainly erased the trans man from now on. Will the piquantless trans man who appears on a women's only night be accepted or rejected? That's totally unknown.”

said Abhishek Vaidya, general manager of the SPA. By email It reached the standard that SPAs were attempting to respect women with cultural and religious beliefs related to the presence of biological male born naked people.

“We needed to help religious women and tried to navigate important conversations about inclusion, safety and respect,” he wrote. “We recognize that our words do not fully reflect our values, and we are truly sorry for that.”

Standard noted that other spas in San Francisco had no restrictions on transgender people, including Japanese and Korean spas.

In response to the complaint, the San Francisco Human Rights Commission Officials said The chronicle was “analyzing business policies and all inquiries and determining the next step.”

Rafael Mandelman, president of the San Francisco Board of Supervisors, said people may be sensitive because of the actions President Donald Trump has taken to limit the US transgender agenda.

“In this harsh moment when everything is political and trans and non-binary people are being assaulted, I think at least our little blue island has a real desire to protect its population,” he said.

Not all trans people were furious, and some even said they support monthly exclusions.

“I don't think it's that bad for women with CIS to have their own days,” the 25-year-old transgender person told the standard. “No one is sane to go to Banya every day of the month.”

That's what the Tranger protesters are picket Outside of business.
