Outrage erupts over report that Philadelphia Eagles rejected White House visit

Social media critics have denounced the Philadelphia Eagles after reporting that they had refused an invitation to visit the White House, but the truth of the matter is unknown.

A report from Sun said the NFL team responded with a “large no” to the invitation, but in another report from Politico Quote An anonymous White House official who denied the invitation was denied.

“They lost the goodwill most of the Americans had for them. Classless moves.”

The team did not respond to requests from Politico for the report.

Many online voiced their anger in reports that included former Fox News anchor Megin Kelly.

“I'm going to the Eagles. My husband is a fan so I got on board, but this bs.” She wrote.

“I've always insisted that I don't care who the US president is. If I were invited to the White House, I would go. It's about the office, not the people.” I responded Actor Matthew Marsden. “The Eagles may have won the Super Bowl [sic]however, they lost the goodwill that most of the Americans had for them. Classless movement. ”

“What do you know, I will never support that team again. f**k Eagles.” read Another popular response.

Others said the same team made a cancelled visit to the White House in 2018 after disagreements about who would be present. According to one report, two or three players, the owner, the team mascot, and the name Swoop is about to attend.

“The Eagles wanted to send a smaller delegation, but the 1,000 fans planning on attending the event deserve better,” Trump said at the time. “These fans are still invited to the White House to perform their national anthem loudly and proudly, honoring our great nation and honoring the heroes who fight to protect it. ”

This issue is further complicated by the fact that Trump won national support in the last election.
